Why We Built This Site
Alabama permits public access to ordinary trial-court dockets, yet the route depends on the court and record type. The Russell County Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit and District files. Phenix City keeps its municipal matters, and probate and federal records have separate custodians. Just One Look offers paid remote trial-court access, while the Judicial Center lobby provides free local viewing. We organize those verified routes, explain their limits, and identify when a clerk request is needed.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket access: how Russell County criminal and civil cases are searched and read
- Court dates: how to check a setting through the state docket channels and the clerk
- Case lookups: how name, case-number, and setting-date searches differ
- Record requests: how copies and certified records are ordered from the correct custodian
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to an Alabama court, clerk, or government agency. Those limits mean:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting remains current
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their services, prices, data practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's charges or control the information returned.
